Oscars 2022: Nominees and Winners
Check out the list of nominees and winners from the 94th Academy Awards!

Last night, the 94th Academy Awards was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The show was hosted by Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes.
The evening kicked off with a beautiful performance of “Be Alive” by Beyoncé. The first televised award was for Best Supporting Acress. Many years after Rita Moreno first won an Oscar for her performance as Anita, Ariana DeBrose won one for the same role!
Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and Will Smith (King Richard) each won their first Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Actor in a Leading Role, respectively. Will’s win came shortly after a surprising altercation with Chris Rock.
CODA became the first movie from a streaming service to win the award for Best Picture (Apple TV+), while one of the leads, Troy Kotsur, made history as the first deaf man to win an Oscar for acting! Encanto took home the award for Best Animated Feature Film, while Dune won the most awards out of any movie, ending the night with six Oscars.
As we celebrated some of the incredible movies from the past year, we also had the opportunity to focus on all of the great music that came with them! There were outstanding performances during the show, including Reba’s “Somehow You Do” and the winner of Best Original Song, “No Time to Die” by Billie Eilish and Finneas. There was also a fun remix of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto.
While there were many exciting awards given out last night, we’re featuring the ones that involve music and sound, plus a few of the bigger categories! For the rest of the nominations & winners from the 2022 Oscars, just click here.
